The facility meets the requirements of the third category in the UEFA classification, which entitles it to play football matches such as the Polish Ekstraklasa as well as international events.
On March 16, 2018 in Bogota, Colombia, after the council meeting, FIFA announced Poland as the organizer of the 2019 FIFA World Cup under 20 years in football. It was decided that the main arena for the tournament would be the Widzew Łódź stadium. The opening match and the grand final of the FIFA u-20 World Cup took place on this sports facility. In cooperation with the contractors of the stadium project, Salumanus designed and launched an IT network based on the DCN LAN and wi-fi solutions delivered by themselves.
The IT infrastructure was based on DCN brand solutions. The delivered devices to the Client were used to guarantee uninterrupted TV broadcasting, VAR system operation and to provide Internet access for VIP / VVIP rooms, stadium office, media tribune, media center, FIFA organizational stands and for the spectators of the event sitting in the stands. Together with the devices, the company prepared configuration and provided technical support during all matches played at the Widzew Łódź stadium.
With the using reliable DCN devices, both the organizers and the entire staff supporting the event could take full advantage of the possibilities of a well-designed LAN and wi-fi network and provide trouble-free services during event. This allowed the fans to fully enjoy the football festival not only in the stands, but also in front of the TV sets.
